Elite Girls

Today I went to Almere to participate in the Elite Model Look competition. Unfortunately, I wasn’t casted but no hard feelings because afterwards we got a free makeover! Let me introduce; my sister, her friend and me, all glammed up!

Lowlands

I have just come back from the biggest music festival of the Netherlands: Lowlands. I had the most amazing weekend with temperatures soaring over 33 degrees celcius (which is really rare for this cold country). The countdown to Lowlands 2013 has started… See you next year!

Diane Kruger is looking super elegant in this pastel mint Haute Couture gown by Giambattista Valli. This is my idea of a perfect gown and it happens to be in my favourite colour too!

Some Things

I have been insanely busy the past few weeks. I went home for 20 days to see the family, the boyfriend and some of my girlfriends. Then my little sister came to see me in Paris and finally my boyfriend too. The few pretty days that we had, we swam in the fountains at Trocardo (in front of the Eiffel tower!) which is apparantly strictly forbidden! The sunset seen from the top of la Tour de Montparnasse was breathtaking as well…

Queensday

Every year on the 30th of April, the Dutch flock to Amsterdam to celebrate the birthday of our queen (Beatrix). Queensday is known for its nationwide flea market, where little kids try to earn a little pocket money by selling their (and their parents’) old toys. Teenagers and grownups make use of this bankholiday by dressing up in orange (as the reigning dynasty is House of Orange and this is their color) and getting absolutely hammered.

These are my favourite items to look fashionably orange on Queensday.

A woman’s perfume tells more about her than her handwriting ~Dior

A smell can bring back a flood of memories. It has even been said that ‘perfume’ is the most intense form of memory. I can definitely relate to this and therefore I think it is really important for a woman to have a personal fragrance that defines her and suits her perfectly.

For years, my perfume of choice has been Light Blue by Dolce & Gabbana. But after a visit to Sephora today, it is hard to remain faithful to my personal perfume. I sprayed some Midnight Rose (Lancôme) on my wrist and I can’t stop smelling it.

Here is a top 4 of my favorite perfumes at this moment.

Lancôme - Trésor Midnight Rose

Viktor & Rolf - Flowerbomb

Nina Ricci - Nina

Dolce & Gabanna - Light Blue
